Accessories – Visual separation
End cover plates
Shock protection
With only a few exceptions, the final
terminal in a terminal assemble must
be covered with an end cover plate
of type ZAP/TW. End cover plates
(AP) are also to be inserted in a ter-
minal assemble with different sized
terminals. This guarantees shock
protection from conducting parts
and ensures that the terminals are
“finger-safe”.
Visual separation
Coloured end cover plates are fre-
quently used for visual separation of
power circuits, in order to prevent
wiring errors.
Ensure correct operating voltage
End cover plates (AP) can also be
used to ensure the necessary creep-
age and clearance paths are pres-
ent, to make sure that the rated volt-
age for the application is provided.
For example, cross-connections can
be set directly next to each other.
Identical contours
The outer dimensions of the end
cover plates (AP) correspond to the
dimensions of the terminal.
Mounting
The end cover plate (AP) can simply
be clipped onto the corresponding
terminal. Recesses in the terminals
ensure that contours are identical
with correct positioning.
