Introduction
Use this chapter to program the Keyboard WedgeĂ/ĂCommercial Decoder for
Serial Communication features.
This programming section contains the following menuing selections:
• RSĆ232D Port 1 (Auxiliary Data Input) Selections.
About RS-232D Port 1 (Auxiliary Data Input) Programming
RSĆ232D Port 1 programming allows you to:
• Enable or disable CTS Check.
• Set Baud Rate, RSĆ232 Word Length, and Parity.
• Select a data communication Protocol.
• Program the decoder for data communication character(s).
• RSĆ232D Port 2 (Data OutputĂ/ĂTransmission) Selections.
About RS-232D Port 2 (Data Output / Transmission) Programming
RSĆ232D Port 2 programming allows you to:
• Enable or disable CTS Check.
• Set Baud Rate, RSĆ232 Word Length, and Parity.
 The decoder automatically determines whether the input device is a
scanner or an RSĆ232D device. Switching from scanner to RSĆ232D input
requires that you cycle the power to the decoder; that is, turn the unit off, then
on it again after changing the input device.
