4. Remove the plastic tie from the Left Handrail (4) and
the Handrail Spacer (3). Remove the two Long Screws
(2) from the left Upright (38). Using the top and bottom
holes in the Handrail Spacer (see drawing 4a), attach
the Handrail Spacer to the left Upright with the two
Long Screws. Make sure that the ramps on the
Handrail Spacer are on the inner side as shown.
Attach a Handrail Cover (63) and the Left Handrail (4)
to the left Upright (38) with two Handrail Knobs (1). Do
not tighten the Handrail Knobs yet. Note: If you are
8Ó or taller, use the lower two holes; if you are
shorter than 5Õ 8Ó, use the upper two holes.
Remove the plastic tie from the Right Handrail (32)
and the Handrail Spacer (3). Remove the two Long
Screws (2) from the right Upright (38). Attach the
Handrail Spacer to the right Upright with the two Long
Screws as described above.
Refer to drawing 5. Have a second person hold the
Console Base (87) near the Right Handrail (32). Feed
the excess Wire Harness (53) into the upper end of
the Handrail, while pulling the excess from the bottom
of the Handrail. Then, insert the excess Wire Harness
into the right Upright (38) (see drawing 4).
Refer to drawing 4 above. Attach a Handrail Cover (63)
and the Right Handrail (32) to the right Upright (38) with
two Handrail Knobs (1). Do not fully tighten the
Handrail Knobs yet. Make sure that both Handrails
are at the same height.
Refer to drawing 4b above. Insert a Handrail Plug (70)
into the unused hole in each Handrail (4, 32).
5. Note that the wire tie in the Right Handrail (32)
should not be removed. Attach the Console Base
(87) to the Handrails (4, 32) with the four Handrail
Screws (5). Make sure that the Handrail Screws are
tight, but do not overtighten them. Insert the excess
Wire Harness (53) into the Right Handrail.
Tighten the four Handrail Knobs (1) used in step 4.
6. The Console (11) requires three "AA" batteries (not
included); alkaline batteries are recommended. Open
the Battery Cover (12) and press the batteries into the
Console; the negative (Ð) ends of the batteries must
touch the springs. Close the battery cover, push up on
the tab, and then push the tab forward as shown in the
inset drawing. Be sure that the tab locks into place.
7. Remove the backing from the Adhesive Clip (80).
Press the Adhesive Clip onto the right Upright (38).
Press the Allen Wrench (81) into the Adhesive Clip.
8. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened
before you use the treadmill.
