Tips for General Use
Removing Processed Food
1. Beforeremovingprocessedfood,turnthedialtotheOFFpositionandwaitfor
thebladetostopspinning.Unplugtheunitandthenremovethelidbyturning
itcounter-clockwisetounlock.Nevertrytoremovethelidandthecontainer
togetherasoneunit;thiscandamagethefoodprocessor.
2. Becarefulnottoletthechoppingbladeorslicing/shreddingbladediscfallout
ofthecontainerasyouemptyit.Topreventthechoppingbladefromfalling
out,carefullyremovethechoppingbladebyliftingupontheplastichub.To
removetheslicing/shreddingbladedisc,gripthecenterhubusingtwongers
andliftstraightup.Besuretoremovethebladeordiscbeforeattemptingto
emptyouttheprocessedfood.
3. Toliftthecontaineroffthemotorbase,turnthehandleofthecontainer
counter-clockwisetounlockandliftthecontainerstraightup.
NOTE:Occasionally,apieceoffoodmaybecomewedgedbetweentheblade
andthecontainer.Ifthishappens,unplugtheunit,removethelid,liftthe
bladeoutcarefullyandremovethewedgedpiece.Emptythecontainer,re-
inserttheblade,replacetheingredientsandlockthelidintoplacetocontinue
processing.
Hints for Preparing Foods for Chopping or Mixing
Fruits and vegetables-
Peelandcoreifnecessary.Removelarge,hardpitsandseeds.Cutinto3⁄4-inch
piecesandprocessupto1-cupatatime.
Meat, poultry and fish-
Meatshouldbecoldbutnotfrozen.First,cutinto3⁄4-inchpieces.Putupto1⁄2
poundofmeatincontainer.Pulseorrunmotorcontinuouslyuntildesiredconsistency
isreached.Checktextureevery2or3secondstoavoidover-processing.
