Please do not leave this unit unattended with children. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including: • Close supervision is required when any appliance is used by or near children. • Read all instructions before using.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS • To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on cord to disconnect. • Always unplug appliance from power supply before putting on or taking off parts, when cleaning and before cleaning. • Be sure the appliance is in the OFF position after each use. • Never leave the house while the appliance is ON. • Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.

OPERATION USING YOUR DISNEY ICE SHAVER Before using for the first time and after each use, be sure to thoroughly wash the lid, secure nut, ice auger, cone holder, flavor bottle holders, gear ring and cone shaper in hot soapy water. To prolong the life of your Ice Shaver, do not wash parts in the dishwasher.
OPERATION 1. When assembling, dismantling or cleaning, always ensure that the appliance is switched off and is not connected to the power supply. 2. Make sure that the GEAR RING is properly positioned around the exterior of the ICE AUGER. 3. Make sure that the ICE AUGER is placed inside the SHAVER BOWL on the motor base and that the SECURING NUT is properly locked in place. 4. Remove the LID by first pressing the RELEASE BUTTON located on the back side of the MOTOR BASE, and then by lifting up on the LID. 5.
OPERATION (CONTINUED) 12. Add syrup to the shaved ice. The ears serve as flavor bottles that hold & dispense flavored syrup. 13. Remove the LID by pressing down on the RELEASE button. 14. Remove the ICE AUGER by turning the SECURING NUT couter-clockwise until free. 15. Gently pull the ICE AUGER out of the MOTOR BASE. 16. Clean all excess ice and water from the unit after use (see cleaning instructions. NOTE: • Occasionally ice may build up and get lodged in chute.

Do not immerse the MOTOR BASE, CORD or PLUG in water. 1. Make sure that the unit is turned OFF and that the unit is unplugged. 2. Wipe the outside surface of the unit with a damp cloth. 3. Remove the LID by first pressing the RELEASE BUTTON located on the back side of the MOTOR BASE, and by lifting up on the LID.
RECIPES Cool, Easy Favorites For Kids & the Young at Heart Snow Cones Make snow cones the Disney way! Shaved ice is so snowy fine that it absorbs the flavor rather that letting it run to the bottom. Each taste is a flavor sensation! Simply add one or more of our delicious snow cone syrups to create your own favorite flavor. So good! Slushes Place shaved ice into serving cups or glasses. Add just enough snow cone syrup to totally absorb the shaved ice. Add sliced or diced fruit if desired.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Lemonade Slush Shaved ice is a perfect addition to lemonades. Try pink lemonade and shaved ice for a fun party drink. Fruit Freeze Place 2 cups shaved ice into your smoothie maker or blender. Add 1⁄2 cup fruit and 1⁄2 cup fruit juice. Blend until ultra smooth. For a thicker slush, add more shaved ice. Tropical Breeze Combine equal amounts of pineapple, apple and orange juices. Pour over a tall glass of shaved ice and garnish with mint leaves, fruit slice or maraschino cherry.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Stawberry Smoothie (Continued) Shave ice cubes of milk and combine with all ingredients in a smoothie maker or blender. Process until smooth. Stir in slices of strawberries and/or bananas. Terrific! Light Chocolate Shake 1 cup milk 1 ⁄2 tablespoon sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa or substitute 2 tablespoons creamer 2 cups shaved milk Blend ingredients well, then add shaved ice milk. Variation: Freeze chocolate milk and shave into cup or serving dish.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Fruit & Orange Cream 1 peach, pitted and thin sliced 1 ⁄3 cup cream or milk 1 teaspoon sugar 1 ⁄2 banana, sliced 1 cherry, unstemmed for garnish (optional) 1 cup orange juice, frozen Freeze orange juice in ice cube mold. Shave into chilled breakfast bowl. Add peach and banana slices, then pour on cream. Sprinkle on sugar and garnish with a single cherry.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Pineapple-Grapefruit Ice 1 cup fresh grapefruit sections 1 ⁄4 cup sugar 1 ⁄4 cup water 1 cup pineapple chunks 2 cups shaved ice Blend all ingredients except ice until smooth, then pour over shaved ice. If desired stir in more shaved ice. Garnish with maraschino cherries and mint leaves. Berry Nice 1 cup berries (strawberries, raspberries or blueberries) 1 cup cranberry or grape juice, frozen 1 teaspoon sugar Freeze cranberry juice in ice cube mold. Shave into chilled breakfast bowl.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Raspberry Sorbet 2 cups fresh raspberries (or blackberries) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon orange juice 1 ⁄4 cup sugar 2 cups shaved ice 1 ⁄2 cup water Combine raspberries and water in a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over shaved ice and enjoy. Peach or Pear Ice 1 can (16 oz.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Sorbets, Sherbets, Ices Raspberry Velvet 1 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen) 1 ⁄2 cup heavy cream 3 cups cranberry juice 2 tablespoons raspberry preserves 4 cups shaved ice Combine all ingredients except ice in a blender or smoothie maker and process until smooth. Continue to blend while adding shaved ice until the mixture has a sherbet-like consistency. Pour into stemmed glasses and garnish with a big red raspberry. Serve immediately.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Sparkling Lemon-Lime Sorbet 1 ⁄4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 ⁄4 cup sugar (or substitute) 1 ⁄4 cup fresh lime juice 2-4 cups shaved ice 1 ⁄2 cup Ginger Ale Lemon or lime wedges Stir all ingredients together except ice until sugar is dissolved. Pour into stemmed glasses over shaved ice and garnish with lemon or lime wedges.
RECIPES (CONTINUED) Apple-Cinnamon Sorbet 4 Golden Delicious Apples 1 ⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon 1 ⁄3 cup sugar (to taste) 2 cups shaved ice 1 ⁄2 cup apple juice 11⁄2 teaspoon lemon juice Thin apple slices dipped in lemon juice for garnish Core, pare and shred apples. Puree all ingredients except shaved ice in blender or smoothie maker until smooth. Add shaved ice to blender and continue processing until desired consistency is achieved. Garnish with apple slices.
