REMOTE OIL FILTER (OPTIONAL)
INSTALLATION
This popular accessory is used to relocate the engine's oil fiI-
teT from the engine to a more convenient location such as an
engine room bulkhead.
NOTE: Refer 10 [he ENGINE OIL CHANGE page in [his man-
ual for instructions on removing the oil pIfer.

A THIN COAT OF CLEAN OIL TO THE O-RING
WHEN INSTALLING THtS ADAPTER. THREAD THE
ADAPTER ON, THEN TIGHTEN (BY HAND) AN
ADDITIONAL 3/4 TURN AFTER THE O·RING CON·
TACTS THE BASE.
To install, simply remove the engine oil filter and thread on
WESTERBEKE's remote oil filter kit as shown. Always
install this kit with the oil filter facing down as illustrated.

NOTE: Westerheke is 1Iot responsible for engine jailure due to
incorrect installation oj the Remote Oil FillCl:
FASTEN SECURELY TO A BULKHEAD
(SCREWS ARE OWNER SUPPLIED)
A THIN COAT OF CLEAN OIL TO
THE FILTER GASKET WHEN INSTALLING.
ONCE THE FILTER CONTACTS THE BASE,
THEN TIGHTEN IT AN ADDITIONAL 3/4
TURN.
