Operation
Remove, clean, and pressure lest the primary heat exchanger.
(A
local automotive radiator shop should
be able
to
clean and test the heat exchanger.)
NOTE: Operating in silty and/or tropical waters may require that a heat exchanger cleaning
be performed more often than every 1000 hours.
Generator
Frequency
Adjustment
Frequency
is
a direct result
of
engine/generator speed,
as
indicated by the following:
When the generator
is
run at 1800 rpm, the
AC
voltage output frequency
is
60
hertz. When the generator
is
run at 1500 rpm, the AC voltage output frequency
is
50
hertz.
Therefore, to change the generator's frequency, the generator's speed
fI1l.l{i1
be changed. To accomplish
the frequency change, connect the AC output leads
to
the AC terminal block
in
accordance with the
"AC
Voltage Connections" diagram specified for your generator set, which appears
in
the "BC GENERATOR"
section
of
this manual, page
52.
