One of the

ﬁrst things you’ll want to do with your My Passport Wireless Pro/My

Passport Wireless SSD drive is to load content using USB, wireless, Android/iOS

mobile device, or compatible wireless camera connections. Another way to load

content is to back up a computer to you drive.

Note: To load content from an SD card, see “Copying Content from an SD

Card”

Loading Content using a USB Connection

The best way to transfer a large number of ﬁles to/ from your device is by using a USB port

connected to your computer. This process is faster than using the the My Passport Wireless

Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD Wi-Fi network. Use the following steps to transfer your data

using the USB port.

Note:

When you connect your computer and drive this way, the drive’s

wireless network is disabled.

1. With the USB 3.0 cable included with your device, connect the My Passport

Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD device to your computer,

2. On your computer, open the File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

3. Do one of the following:

▪ Windows: In the left pane of the File Explorer window, click Computer and

double-click the My Passport Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD drive.

▪ Mac: In the left pane of the Finder window in the DEVICES section, double-

click the My Passport Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD drive.

4. Drag and drop

ﬁles from your computer to the My Passport Wireless Pro/My

Passport Wireless SSD drive (or from your computer to the My Passport

Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD drive). A copy of your ﬁles are saved on

the drive.

Note: Mac users must install the Paragon NTFS for Mac driver before attempting

to drag and drop ﬁles; the driver is included with the software that

comes with your My Passport Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD

device.
