Kedjekontakten reglerar fläktens hastighet enligt följande: dra i kedjan 1 gång – hög; 2 gånger – medium; 3 gånger – låg; 4 gånger – av. Hastighetsinställningar för varmt eller svalt väder beror på omständigheter som rummets storlek, takhöjd, antal fläktar osv. Skjutomkopplaren reglerar riktningen – framåt och omvänd riktning.

Vedettävä ketjusäädin säätää tuulettimen nopeutta seuraavasti: 1 veto – nopea, 2 vetoa – keskinopea, 3 vetoa – hidas, 4 vetoa – pois päältä. Sopivat nopeusasetukset lämmintä ja kylmää ilmaa varten riippuvat mm. huoneen koosta, korkeudesta ja tuulettimien määrästä. Liukukytkimellä ohjataan suuntaa eteen- tai taaksepäin.
