Special Function
The third function, Extended Time-Current, is
activated by connecting a wire between the
option board (TB37-1) and the main logic board
(TB1-8). This connection activates DS2 on the
logic board at the end of ramp-up.
The Extended Time-Current feature is
accomplished by calibrating the starting current
with main DIP switch DS1, and after the motor
has accelerated to full speed, (end of ramp-up)
by calibrating the Easy-Start ES for the normal
running current, based on the settings of both
DS1 and DS2.
Option ÒS1Ó
This option includes the printed circuit board with
its three functions plus a red light that lights when
the smooth-stop is activated, and goes out
whenever the smooth-stop is completed.
Option ÒS2Ó
This option includes the printed circuit board with
its three functions plus a red light that lights when
the smooth-stop is activated, and goes out
whenever the smooth-stop is completed; plus a
red light that lights during ramp-up and goes out
at the end of ramp-up. (See this section for
option ÒSÓ, ÒS1Ó, and ÒS2Ó application
considerations.)
Special Functions: Option ÒJÓ
The printed circuit board contains two functions:
JAM and UNDERLOAD TRIP
There are four DIP switches mounted on the
Option J Board:
DS40: (4-Position switch; 16 calibration points)
sets JAM trip level.
Adjustable 100-250%; as set by DS1 &
DS2 DIP switch calibration settings on
main logic board.
DS41: (3-Position switch)
1. Turns JAM trip function ON or
OFF; closed ON, open OFF.
2. Adjusts the JAM trip time; close to
increase JAM trip time.
3. Adjusts the JAM trip time; close to
increase JAM trip time.
(See this section for JAM trip time
curves.)
DS42: (4-Position switch; 16 calibration points)
sets underload trip level. Adjustable 25-90%; as
set by DS1 & DS2 DIP switch calibration settings
on main logic board.
DS43: (3-Position switch)
1. Turns the underload function on or off;
closed ON, open OFF.
2. Adjusts the underload trip time; close to
increase trip time.
3. Adjusts the underload trip time; close to
increase trip time.
(See this section for underload trip time
curves.)
