1. The hot water and cold water
fittings must be installed in the
orientation shown in these directions
2. It is required to install the cold
dip water tube into the tank prior to
fitting into areas with low ceiling height.
3. Please use tape and pipe dope with
Teflon to seal fittings into the tank.
4. Note: do not apply heat to the hot or
cold water connections. These fittings
are equipped with plastic and rubber
heat traps that will be damaged if heat
is applied. If sweat connections are used,
sweat tubing to adapter before fitting
adapter to the water heater connection.
5. 240 Volt connection required.
6. Make sure the tank is full
and that the faucets have been
purged of all air before turning
the power on.
Read the Use and Care Manual carefully and be sure that your
water heater has been properly assembled BEFORE reviewing these
instructions. Failure to follow the instructions included in the Use and
Care Manual exactly as written could result in re, electrical shock, or
other situation that could result in property damage, serious personal
injury, or death. Installation and service must be performed by a qual-
ied plumber or a professional technician in accordance with all local
codes. Improper installation and/or operation by an unqualied person
WILL VOID the warranty. In the absence of local codes, follow the latest
version of NFPA No. 70, the National Electrical Code in the United States,
or CSA 22.1, the Canadian Electrical Code in Canada.
