TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING
Before attempting to service or troubleshoot the pressure washer, the owner or service technician must rst read
the owner’s manual and understand and follow all safety instructions. Failure to follow all instructions may result in
conditions that can lead to voiding of the EPA certication or product warranty, serious personal injury, property damage
or even death.
PROBLEM POTENTIAL CAUSE SOLUTION
Engine will not start.
Fuel shuto valve (if equipped) is in the OFF
position.
Move the fuel shuto valve (if equipped) to the ON
position.
Pressure washer is out of fuel. Add fuel to the pressure washer.
Fuel ow is obstructed. Inspect and clean fuel delivery passages.
Unit is not properly primed. Push primer bulb three times.
Air lter is dirty Check and clean the air lter
Oil level is low. Check oil level and add oil if necessary
Spark plug boot is not fully engaged with the spark
plug tip.
Firmly push down on the spark plug to ensure the
boot is fully engaged.
Spark plug is faulty. Remove and check the spark plug. Replace if
faulty.
Fuel is stale. Drain fuel and replace with fresh fuel.
Water in fuel. Drain fuel and replace with fresh fuel.
If trying 1-10 above does not solve the problem,
the cause might be that the pressure washer has a
fault.
Take the pressure washer to your nearest
authorized service dealer.
Engine suddenly stops
running.
Pressure washer is out of fuel. Check fuel level. Add fuel if necessary
Oil level is low. Check oil level. Add oil if necessary.
If trying 1-2 above does not solve the problem,
the cause might be that the pressure washer has
a fault.
Take the pressure washer to your nearest
authorized service dealer.
Engine runs erratic; does
not hold a steady RPM.
Choke lever (if equipped) was left in the ON
position.
Move choke lever (if equipped) to the OFF
position.
Air lter is dirty. Check and clean the air lter.
If trying 1-2 above does not solve the problem,
the cause might be that the pressure washer has
a fault.
Take the pressure washer to your nearest
authorized service dealer.
No or low pressure.
Water supply is low. Increase the water supply.
Nozzle is obstructed. Clean the nozzle.
Water lter screen is obstructed. Remove and clean the lter.
Water inlet is obstructed. Clear the inlet.
Inlet hose is kinked or leaks. Straighten the inlet hose and repair leaks
High-pressure hose is obstructed or leaks. Clear obstructions in the hose or replace the hose.
High-pressure hose tting leaks. Tighten the tting. Apply sealant tape if necessary.
If trying 1-7 above does not solve the problem,
the cause might be that the pressure washer has
a fault.
Take the pressure washer to your nearest
authorized service dealer.
Soap does not mix with
water spray.
Soap siphon hose is not connected properly. Insert the soap siphon hose properly into the soap
container.
Soap siphon hose is obstructed. Clear obstructions in the soap siphon hose.
