OPERATING YOUR WASHER
Selecting a cycle and time
This section iiiustrates and describes the
wash cycles you can select with the Cycie
Controi Knob. Use this information to help
you make the best cycle selections for your
wash loads. Each cycle is designed for
different types of fabrics and soii leveis.
The washer pauses briefiy throughout
each cycle. These pauses are normal for
washer operation.

Normal cycle
The Normal cycle features high agitation
and spin speeds to shorten drying time.
Use this cycie for cieaning cotton and linen
fabrics. Select 6 (Regular) or 12 (Heavy)
minutes of wash time, depending on
whether your load is moderately or heavily
soiled.
Permanent Press cycle
The Permanent Press cycle features a
cool-down rinse. Use this 8-minute cycle
for cleaning permanent press and some
synthetic fabrics.
Short cycle
The 6 minute Short cycle features a brief
wash cycie with warm or coid wash water
for gentle soil removal for your lightly soiled
washable knits or delicate items. During the
Short cycie, your washer will pause for a
brief soak period (two minutes).
Soak cycle
The Soak cycle features brief periods of
agitation and soak time to help remove
heavy soils and stains that need pretreat
ment.
Use warm water when soaking iaundry.
(Hot water can set stains.) See pages
17-19 for stain removal information.
Use the amount of detergent or presoak
additive recommended by the manufac
turer.
After the Soak cycle ends, add detergent
and set a new wash cycle.
