TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The red LED blinks
Check that the lid is closed properly.
Check no fresh food has been placed in the
freezer recently.
Check that the fresh food is properly arranged
(see chapter Freezing food).
Check that the appliance is not positioned
near a heat source.
Check that the air vent and condenser are
clean.
2. The acoustic alarm is activated
Refer to chapter Operating instructions,
paragraph Alarms.
3. The display is off, the inside light does not
switch on and the compressor is not
operating (appliance warm)
Check there is no power failure.
Check that the power plug is correctly
inserted in the mains socket.
Unplug the appliance, then check there is no
damage to the power cable.
4. The display is OFF, the inside light switches
on and the compressor runs continuously
Contact the After-sales Service.
5. When a button is pressed, the corresponding
function is not activated
Check that the control panel lock function is
not enabled (the yellow control panel lock
LED (6) must be off).
6. Appliance is excessivelly noisy
Check the appliance is properly level.
Check that the appliance is installed correctly
(see chapter Installation).
7. The compressor runs continuously
Check whether the fast freeze function has
been selected.
Check whether fresh food has been placed in
the freezer recently.
Check the lid is closed properly and that it
has not been left open for a lengthy period of
time.
Check that the appliance is installed correctly
away from heat sources (see chapter
Installation).
8. Too much ice on the upper edge
Check that the defrost water drainage plugs
are correctly positioned.
Check the lid is closed properly and that it
has not been left open for a lengthy period of
time.
Check that the lid seal is not deformed.
Make sure that you have removed the 4 lid
protection pieces (see chapter Installation).
9. Formation of condensate on the external
walls of the freezer
It is normal that condensate forms under
certain atmospheric conditions (humidity
above 85%) or if the appliance is located in a
damp or poorly ventilated room.
The performance of the freezer is in no way
affected.
10. The layer of ice on the internal walls of the
freezer is not uniform
This phenomenon is quite normal.
11. The green ON LED (1) is permanently alight
and the display (2) is OFF.
Refer to paragraph Blank Display.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before contacting After-Sales Service:
1.
See if you can solve the problem yourself
(see paragraph Before Contacting the After-
sales Service).
2.
Switch the appliance on again to see if the
problem has been solved. If it has not, disconnect
the appliance from the power supply and wait for
about an hour before switching on again.
3.
If the problem persists after this course of
action, contact After-sales Service.
Specify:
The nature of the problem.
The model.
The Service number (the number after the word
SERVICE on the data plate on the inside of the
appliance).
Your full address.
Your telephone number and area code.
