Switching on the freezer for the first time

Plug in the appliance.

Six horizontal lines appear on the digital display (
2
):

After about 3 seconds, when the appliance is warm (internal
temperature above 0°C), only the two lines in the middle remain
illuminated.

The green ON LED (
1
) will light up.

The red alarm LED (
8
) will start blinking and the acoustic
alarm will sound.

Press the reset button (
7
) to stop the acoustic alarm.

The acoustic alarm stops while the red alarm LED continues
to blink.

When the appliance reaches at least -12°C the red LED (
8
)
stops blinking.

Food can now be placed in the freezer.
NOTE:
thanks to the efficient lid seal, the freezer lid will not re-
open easily immediately after closing.
Wait for a few minutes.
Freezer compartment temperature adjustment
The appliance is normally factory set for optimum operation at a temperature of -18°C.
To adjust the internal temperature between -16°C and -24°C and set to ECONOMIC
(See paragraph ECO function) and proceed as follows:

Press the temperature adjustment button (

) once.

The digital display (
2
) will blink, showing the previous temperature setting.

Press the temperature adjustment button (
3
) as required. Every time the button (
3
) is pressed, the
value will lower by 1°C; once the temperature of 24°C is reached, the temperature will return to the
EC value by pressing the button again (least cold value). During this procedure the temperature will
flash on the digital display.

Approximately 5 seconds after the button has been pressed for the last time, the set temperature is
stored, the digital display (
2
) stops blinking and the current internal temperature is shown on the
display.

To check the temperature setting at any time, press the temperature adjustment button. The set value
will blink for 5 seconds, after which the internal temperature of the freezer will be displayed again.
NOTE: in the event of a power failure, settings remain memorised.
The time required for the internal temperature of the freezer to reach the set value may change
depending on climatic conditions and settings
ECO function
We recommend using the ECO function when small amounts of food are stored, below the
e
level
indicated on the divider.
To set the ECO function:

Press the temperature selection button (
3
) once.

The digital display (
2
) will blink, showing the previous temperature setting.

Press the button (
3
) as required until EC appears on the digital display.
NOTE: if the ECO function is selected when the fast freeze function is in operation, the latter
switches off automatically.
If the fast freeze function is selected when the ECO function is in operation, the latter switches
off automatically.
Blank display
Blank display is an energy saving function which eliminates power consumption linked to the digital
display.
In practice, when the function is activated, the digital display switches off while the appliance
continues operating according to previous settings.
Press and hold the alarm reset button (
7
) for approx. 3 seconds: the green ON led (
1
) will start blinking
and an acoustic signal will sound, indicating the function has been selected.
5 minutes after selection, if no other buttons have been pressed in the meantime, the digital display
will switch off automatically and the green ON led (
1
) will remain permanently alight.
Press any button to switch the digital display on again (note: the function associated with the button will not
be selected). Press the function button in order to change settings. 5 minutes after pressing the button, the
digital display will switch off again.
To disable the function, press and hold the alarm reset button (
7
) until an acoustic signal sounds and
the green ON led (
1
) remains permanently alight, confirming deactivation.
NOTE
The above-mentioned function is highly recommended to reduce power consumption.
Power consumption data refers to the appliance with the BLANK DISPLAY enabled.
