GB User and maintenance manual
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS These instructions shall also be available on website: docs.bauknecht.eu. YOUR SAFETY AND THAT OF OTHERS IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT. This manual and the appliance itself provide important safety warnings, to be read and observed at all times. This is the attention symbol, pertaining to safety, which alerts users to potential risks to themselves and others.
• When drilling through a wall or the ceiling, pay attention not to damage electric connections and/or pipes. • The ventilation ducts must always discharge to the outside. • Exhaust air must not be vented through a flue used for removal of fumes produced by appliances burning gas or other fuels, but must have a separate outlet. All national regulations governing extraction of fumes must be observed.
Declaration of conformity • This appliance has been designed, manufactured and marketed in compliance with: - safety objectives of the “Low Voltage” Directive 2014/35/EU; - the ecodesign requirements of european regulations n. 66/2014, n. 327/2011, n. 244/2009, n. 245/2009, n.1194/2012, n. 2015/1428; - the protection requirements of Directive “EMC” 2014/30/EU. Electrical safety of the appliance can only be guaranteed if it is correctly connected to an approved earthing system.
FILTERING OR DUCTING ? ! Your cooker hood is ready to be used in suction version. To use the hood in filtering version the special ACCESSORY KIT must be installed. Check on the first pages of this manual if the ACCESSORY KIT is furnished or must be bought separately. Note: If furnished, in certain cases, the additional activated carbon filtering system may be installed on the hood. Information about the conversion of the hood from suction version to filtering version is present in this manual.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE The appliance does not work: • Check for the presence of mains electrical power and if the appliance is connected to the electrical supply; • Turn off the appliance and restart it to see if the fault persists. The hood's suction level is not sufficient: • Check the suction speed and adjust as necessary; • Check that the filters are clean; • Check the air vents for any obstructions.
CONTROLS The hood is fitted with a control panel with aspiration speed selection control and a light switch to control cooking area lights. MAINTENANCE Maintenance of the anti-grease filters Traps cooking grease particles. This must be cleaned once a month (or when the filter saturation indication system – if envisaged on the model in possession – indicates this necessity) using non aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
Replacing lamps The hood is equipped with a lighting system based on LED technology. LEDs ensure excellent illumination, have a service life up to 10 times longer than traditional bulbs, and offer up to 90% energy savings. To replace the bulb, proceed as follows: 1. Remove the grease filters. 2. Access the lamps from inside the hood. 3. Press the release clips to release the lamp. 4. Remove the lamp from the hood frame. 5. Disconnect the terminal. Proceed in reverse order to fit the replacement lamp.
