Applications
Selecng the right type of water heater depends on the
applicaon. The amount of electrical power available, the
ability to run vent pipe, as well as the size and shape of
the installaon area should be considered when selecng
a water heater.
Electric Water Heaters
For an electric water heater it is important to know the
voltage available. This is usually 240 Volts or 120 Volts.
Connecng a 120 Volt water heater to a 240 Volt power
supply will result in the elements burning out
immediately. Connecng a 240 Volt water heater to a 120
Volt power supply will result in very lile hot water being
generated. When replacing an exisng water heater,
replace it with one of the same voltage and waage.
Lowboy models are designed for installaon in areas with
height restricons such as under stairs or counter tops or
in crawl spaces.
For kitchen installaons, a 24” wide Table Top
model can
be installed as part of a standard
36high counter top.
The diameter and height of the installaon area must also
be considered. Some models are specically designed for
space constrained areas.
