3. HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE
HOW TO LOAD THE RACKS
CUTLERY RACK:
May be used in two different positions.
In position 2 the upper rack must be
lowered (see “Upper rack height
adjustment”
C
below).
For optimum washing results, position
cutlery as shown (handles of spoons
facing inwards).
Beware of sharp/pointed items.
Risk of injury!
UPPER RACK
- depending on model:
The two handles
C
must be level.
Washing without the upper rack/cutlery rack
If the appliance is fitted with the adjustable retainers as shown in the figure, the
upper rack/cutlery rack can be removed to accommodate larger items such as
cake pans. Open the two retainers
D
and slide the upper rack/cutlery rack out.
When the upper rack/cutlery rack is in place, the retainers must
always be closed.
LOWER RACK
- depending on model:
Arrange crockery so that water does not collect in cavities and the spray arms can turn freely.
Only use dishwasher-proof dishes. Do not use the dishwasher for washing wooden items, aluminium, tin, silver cutlery or
decorated crockery (unglazed).
SELECT PROGRAMME
Press the programme selection button until the required programme appears (Table 1.1, Page 1). The appliance will switch on automatically. If required,
select options (if supplied). These are saved at the end of the cycle even if another programme is selected. The corresponding indicator lamp lights up.
WASH CYCLE
The dishwasher door must be closed and the water tap open.
To load crockery, open the door carefully (the Start indicator lamp will flash and a
beep will sound):
Beware of hot steam!
Press the Start button again. The programme resumes from where it was interrupted, with the door closed.
The wash cycle can be interrupted at any time by pressing Cancel/Off button. The appliance drains water for about 60 seconds
(with the door closed) then switches off automatically.
END OF PROGRAMME
Open the door carefully only after all the lights have switched off and a beep has sounded:
hot steam may escape!
Unload the appliance,
starting from the lower rack in order to avoid any residual drips of water falling onto crockery below.
For even better drying results, leave the dishwasher door open a little before unloading in order to allow the steam to dissipate, helping
the dishes to dry. The underside of the kitchen worktop must be protected (see instructions in “Maintenance and Installation”).
