Instruction for Use

For short periods
If the period of absence is less than 3 weeks, it will not be necessary to disconnect the appliance from
the power supply. Remove all perishable foods and freeze the rest.
If the appliance is fitted with an automatic ice maker:
1. Switch the automatic ice maker off.
2. Switch the power supply to the ice maker off.
3. Empty the ice storage bin.
In case of prolonged absence
If the period of absence is longer than 3 weeks, the appliance should be completely emptied.
If the appliance is fitted with an automatic ice maker:
1. Switch the automatic ice maker off.
2. Switch the power supply to the ice maker off at least one day before.
3. Empty the ice storage bin.
4. Carefully insert some plastic or wooden wedges in the top edge of each door, ensuring that the
doors remain slightly open, allowing air to circulate inside the compartments, avoiding the formation
of moulds and unwanted odours.
Transportation
1. Remove all the internal components.
2. Pack them carefully, binding them together with adhesive tape to ensure that they do not smash or go
missing.
3. Fully screw in the adjustable feet so that they do not touch the floor.
4. Use adhesive tape to secure the doors shut and secure the cable to the rear of the appliance.
Power failures
In case of power failures contact your electricity supply provider to obtain information on the duration
of the power failure.
Note: A completely full appliance will maintain a cold temperature for longer than a partially full
one.Frozen food still showing ice crystals can be refrozen. Its flavour could however be altered.
Food in poor condition is best discarded.
In case of power supply interruptions for up to 24 hours
1. Keep all appliance doors closed. This will ensure that the stored food will remain at a suitable
temperature for the longest possible time.
In case of power supply interruptions over 24 hours
1. Empty the freezer compartment and store the food in a portable freezer.
Should this, or artificial ice, not be available, consume the most perishable food first.
2. Empty the ice storage bin.
