Microwave oven controls When you first plug in the oven, a tone sounds and the Display will show 88:88. If after you set the Clock (page 6), the Display again shows all 8’s; your electricity was off for a while. Reset the Clock. There are four parts in the control section: -The Digital Display/Clock and Indicator Lights - Command Pads - Number Pads -Fan and Light Pads Instructions for each control are covered following pages. Read them carefully.
Number Fan and light Pads Pads The six pads at the bottom of the control panel control the 2-Speed Exhaust Fan and the Cooktop Light. If CANCEL is touched flrst, all cooking instructlons will be cancelled and the Minute Timer will continue to operate. -Touch MINUTE TIMER. -Touch numbers to set new time. - Touch START. New instructions cancel the old ones. The Minute Timer can be set to time other activities in any other cycle.

Changing the Pre-programmed Setting You can change the pre-programmed cooking time and Cook Power in AUTO SETto the time and powe you most often use. To change the AUTO SETsetting, follow these steps. 1. Touch AUTO SETtwice. 2. Touch the Number to Step 5. 3. Pads for the new desired cooking time. If high Cook Power is desired, skip Touch COOK POWER. 4. Touch the Number Pad for the desired Cook Power. ;’ .‘_ 5. Touch AUTO SET.Touch CANCEL.
The Display will show what you touched. This example shows you touched Number Pad 5 for 50% of full power. 5. Touch a Number Pad for the Cook Power you want. The AUTO SET and PROBE TEMP Indicator Lights will stay on. The Display will show “COOL” if the food is less than 90°F. As the food cooks, the Display will show the internal temperature of the food for every 5°F increase. 6. Touch START. When the probe senses the temperature you selected, the oven shuts off.
Additional Information Temperature may be changed after START is touched by touching TEMP the new number and START. Auto Set TEMP can be programmed to follow the Cook cycle, if desired. “PROB” will show on the Display after START is touched if the probe is not plugged into the oven, This will only appear when Auto Set TEMP has been selected alone, or between the last Cook cycle and Auto Set TEMP selection.
Standing Time and Cooking Automatically After Defrosting For best results, allow the food to stand for a while after defrosting. temperature of the food to provide more even defrosting. You can set PROBE TEMP to follow COOK to avold the need to reset the oven halfway through the cycle. PROBE TEMP can be progmmmed wlth the temperafure probe out. The oven will pause between COOK and PROBE TEMP. “PROB” will show on the Display to remind you to plug In the probe.
Using PAUSE For best results, some recipes call for stirring, turning or adding ingredients during cooking. Your microwave oven can be set to pause between COOK 1 and COOK 2, between any Cook cycle and PROB TEMP between AUTO SETand a following cycle, between QUICK DEFROST and a following cycle (except COOK I), or during QUICK DEFROST to give you time to stir or turn the food, or to add ingredients PAUSE is not available between any cycle and KEEPWARM or after QUICK DEFROST. Adding PAUSE PAUSE can be added to the cycle in operation, II there is to be another cycle. Touch PAUSE. Touch START. The microwave oven will stop automatically. You will hear 2 beeps. START must be touched to continue. Using KEEP WARM Hot, cooked foods can be safely kept warm in your microwave oven for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds (about 1 hour, 40 minutes]. KEEP WARM can be used by itself, or it can automatically follow a cooking cycle or PROBE TEMP cycle. THIS HAPPENS... DO THIS... 1.
Using AUTO START The microwave oven can be set to start automatically at a later time. Use AUTO START to delay the start of cooking for up to 11hours, 59 minutes. THIS HAPPENS... Bi-Level Cooking Rack Use the Bi-Level Cooking Rack for extra space when cooking in more than one container at the same time. The metal rack can be turned upside-down to help fit taller containers on the bottom of the oven. Second Position Inserting the Rack r Insert the rack securely into the rack supports on the side walls of the oven [first position]. * Turn rack upside-down when using a taller container on the bottom of the oven (second position).
Caring for the Filters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned often, at least once a month. NOTE: if your microwave hood combination is installed to recirculate air, the charcoal filter (Part No. 4158313) should be replaced every 6-12 months. The charcoal filter can not be cleaned. 1. For your personal safety, turn off the electric power at the main power supply. 2. To remove grease filters, slide each filter to the front. Pull filters downward and push to the rear. The filter will drop out.
