centerofthedishwhereit willbeheatedlast.

Donot letfoodoracontainertouchthetopor
sidesoftheoven.Thiswillpreventpossible

havepurchasedfoodwhichis prepackagedinan
aluminumfoilcontainer,refertotheinstructionson
thepackage.Whenusingaluminumfoilcontainers,
cookingtimesmaybelongerbecausemicrowaves
willonlypenetratethetopofthefood.
Ifyouusealuminumcontainerswithoutpackage
instructions,followtheseguidelines:
Placethecontainerinaglassbowlandaddsome
watersothatit coversthebottomof thecontainer,
notmorethan1/4inch(6mm)high.Thisensures
evenheatingof thecontainerbottom.
Alwaysremovethelidto avoiddamageto
theoven.
Useonlyundamagedcontainers.
Donot usecontainerstallerthan3/4inch(19mm).
Containermustbeatleasthalffilled.
Toavoidarcing,theremustbeaminimum
1/4inch(6mm)betweenthealuminumcontainer
andthewallsoftheovenandalsobetweentwo
aluminumcontainers.
Alwaysplacethecontainerontheturntable.
Reheatingfoodinaluminumfoilcontainersusually
takesupto doublethetimecomparedto reheating
inplastic,glass,china,orpapercontainers.The
timewhenfoodisreadywillvarydependingupon
thetypeofcontaineryouuse.
Letfoodstandfor2to 3 minutesafterheatingso
thatheatisspreadevenlythroughoutcontainer.
Donotdocanningoffoodsintheoven.Closed
glassjarsmayexplode,resultingindamageto
theovenorpossiblepersonalinjury.
Donot usethemicrowaveovento sterilizeobjects
(babybottles,etc.).Itisdifficultto keeptheovenat
thehightemperatureneededforsafesterilization.
