BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments; To ensure best use of your appliance, carefully read the operating instructions which contain a description of the product and useful advice. Keep these instructions for future reference.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT 1. Packing The packing material is 100% recyclable and bears the recycling symbol . For disposal, comply with the local regulations. Keep the packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of the reach of children, as they are a potential source of danger. 2. Scrapping/Disposal The appliance is manufactured using recyclable material. This appliance is marked in compliance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS INSTALLATION • The appliance must be handled and installed by two or more persons. • Be careful not to damage the floors (e.g. parquet) when moving the appliance. • During installation, make sure the appliance does not damage the power cable. • To guarantee adequate ventilation, follow the installation instructions. • WARNING: Keep the appliance ventilation openings free. • WARNING: Do not damage the appliance refrigerant circuit pipes.
• • • • • NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket. WARNING: Danger of fire: do not store items on the cooking surfaces. INSTALLATION Before installation, make sure that the tubes on the rear of the refrigerator have not been bent in transit. If the tubes touch the refrigerator or the wall, the refrigerator will be irritatingly noisy during operation. If necessary, bend them carefully to restore the correct clearance.The Mini-kitchen must be installed in a fixed and plumb upright position. Any unevenness of the floor can be accommodated by adjusting the feet.
CONNECTING THE MINI KITCHEN Connections to the water supply and waste pipelines should be made preferably by a professional installer. The Mini-kitchen is designed for connection to the earthed socket outlet of a 220-240V/50Hz supply, installed in compliance with current safety regulations. The Mini-kitchen with electric hotplates must be protected by a 16A fuse. The Mini-kitchen can be converted by a qualified installer for operation at 380-415V 2N 50Hz. In this case a 10A fuse is required.
USE OF THE ELECTRIC HOTPLATES A Hotplates B Knobs The normal and fast hotplates offer six nominal cooking temperatures. In the “0” position the hotplate is off. The fast hotplate, at the front, is identified by a red dot at the centre. This plate is used for quick boiling, frying, etc. For this type of use, turn the control knob to position 3. Use position 3 for quick cooking, and position 1 for slow cooking or simmering. Turn up or down as required. For braising, pot-roasting, etc.

HOW TO DEFROST AND CLEAN THE REFRIGERATOR Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power supply. Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely automatic. Droplets of water on the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment indicate that the periodic automatic defrost cycle is in progress. The defrost water is automatically routed to a drain outlet and into a container from which it evaporates.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Periodically clean air vents and the condenser at the rear of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner or a brush. • Clean the outside using a soft cloth. Prolongued Disuse 1. Empty the refrigerator. 2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. 3. Defrost and clean the interior. 4. In the event of prolonged disuse, leave the door open to prevent the formation of mould, odours and oxidation. 5. Clean the appliance.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE 1. Temperature inside the refrigerator compartment is too low. • Is the thermostat setting correct? 3. The appliance is excessively noisy.
CYLINDA SERVICE Before contacting Cylinda Service: 1. See if you can solve the problem yourself with the help of the “Troubleshooting guide”. 2. Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem has been solved. If it has not, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and wait for about an hour before switching on again. 3. If the problem persists after this course of action, contact Cylinda Service.
