REMOVING THE MAINTOP

4. Slide the maintop to the left so that the hinge
pin is free of the right hinge bracket, (see the
inset), and to the right so that it is free of the
left bracket, then remove the maintop.
5. Remove the hinge pins from the old maintop
and mount them to the new one.
6. Install the new maintop.
CAUTION: When you work on the gas range, be
careful when handling the sheet metal parts. Sharp
edges may be present, and you can cut yourself if
you are not careful.
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect from electrical supply before servic-
ing unit.
Failure to do so could result in death or electri-
cal shock.
1. Turn off the gas to the range and disconnect
the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the grates from the maintop.
3. Lift the maintop as far as it will go and unsnap
the support rods from the body sides.
