This washing machine is only intended for

washing and spinning suitable laundry in

quantities which are usual for private households.

• Observe the instructions provided in these

Instructions for Use, the Installation Guide and

the Programme Chart when using the washing

machine.

• Keep these Instructions for Use, the Programme

Chart and the Installation Guide; if you sell the

washing machine to another person, also pass

on the Instructions for Use, Programme Chart

and Installation Guide.

1. Safety instructions

• This washing machine is

suitable for indoor use only.

• Do not use or store

flammable liquids near the

washing machine.

• Do not allow your children to

play with the appliance.

• This appliance is not

intended for use by persons

(including children) with

reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of

experience and knowledge,

unless they are supervised or

have been given instruction

concerning use of the

appliance by a person

responsible for their safety.

• Do not operate this washing

machine at temperatures

below 5 °C.

• If you wish to place a dryer on

top of your washing

machine, first contact our

After-Sales Service or your

dealer to check whether this

is possible. A tumble dryer

may only be placed on top of

the washing machine using

an appropriate stacking kit

available through our After-

Sales Service or your dealer.

• Do not leave the device

switched on unnecessarily.

• Turn off the water tap when

not in use.

• Before any cleaning and

maintenance, disconnect the

appliance from the mains

supply or switch it off.

• Never open the door forcibly

or use it as a step.

• If necessary, the power cable

may be replaced with an

identical one obtained from

our After-Sales Service. The

mains cable must only be

replaced by a qualified

technician or the After-Sales

Service.

.Packaging 4.Frost protection measures • The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and marked with a recycling symbol . Adhere to current local regulations when disposing of the packaging material. Do not place the washing machine in a room in which temperatures are likely to fall below zero. If this is inevitable, make sure that the washing machine is completely drained after each use: • Remove the inlet hose(s) from the water tap and let the water drain out completely.

BEFORE USING THE WASHING MACHINE 1.Removing the packaging and inspection • Water tap: 3/4” threaded hose connector • After unpacking, make sure that the washing machine is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance. Instead, contact your After-Sales Service or specialist dealer. • Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of the reach of children as they represent a potential source of danger.

PREPARATION OF THE WASH CYCLE 1.Sort the laundry according to... Please note: Too much detergent can result in excess foam formation. This reduces washing efficiency. If the washing machine detects too much foam, it may prevent spinning or prolong the programme duration and increase the water consumption (see also remarks on foam formation in the “Troubleshooting Guide”). Insufficient detergent may result in grey laundry and also calcify the heating system, drum and hoses. Adding the detergent and additives The detergent dispenser has three chambers (Fig. “A”).

DRAINING RESIDUAL WATER/ CLEANING THE FILTER We recommend that you check the filter at least two or three times a year, especially: • If the “Pump” indicator lights up. • If the appliance is not draining properly or if it fails to perform spin cycles. If the washing machine is in a room prone to freezing temperatures, you must drain residual water after each wash cycle. IMPORTANT: make sure that the water has cooled before draining the appliance. 1. Switch off the appliance and unplug from the mains. 2.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE Appliance exterior and control panel Door seal • Dry the door seal after each wash cycle with an absorbent cotton cloth. Before closing the door of the empty washing machine, make sure that the door seal is completely dry. • Regularly check the condition of the door seal. • Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth. Appliance interior • After each wash cycle, leave the door slightly open to allow the drum to dry.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE The washing machine is equipped with various automatic safety functions. These enable faults to be detected at an early stage and the safety system can react appropriately. These faults are frequently so minor that they can be remedied in a few minutes. Problem The appliance does not start; no indicator lights are on The appliance does not start even though the “Start/Pause” button has been pressed The appliance stops during the programme, and the “Start/Pause” light blinks.

Problem The washing machine remains at a standstill for several minutes in the middle of a running programme; the wash programme appears to be stuck Possible causes, solutions and tips This is a normal function of the washing machine to optimise the rinse phase. One reason for such a long pause may be that you may have used too much detergent; the washing machine has automatically interrupted the programme to reduce the amount of foam.

REMAINING MOISTURE CONTENT OF LAUNDRY AFTER SPINNING The laundry’s remaining moisture content after spinning depends on the type of fabric, the programme selected and the spin speed. Low moisture content can be obtained by selecting the wash programme referred to on the energy label and the highest spin speed. This programme is indicated as the “Energy label reference programme” on the separate Programme Chart.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE Before contacting the After-Sales Service: Please have the following information at hand: • Nature of the fault. • Washing machine model. • Service code (number after the word SERVICE). 1. Try to resolve the problem yourself (see “Troubleshooting Guide”). 2. Restart the programme to check whether the problem has solved itself. 3. If the washing machine continues to function incorrectly, call our After-Sales Service. The After-Sales sticker can be found inside the door.
