This induction cooktop generates and uses ISM frequency energy that heats cookware by using an electromagnetic field. It has been tested and complies with Part 18 of the FCC Rules for ISM equipment. Induction Ready Cookware POTS AND PANS OK NO Only use pots and pans made from ferromagnetic material which are suitable for use with induction cooktop: A. Enamelled steel B. Cast iron C. Stainless steel designed for induction cooking To determine whether a pot is suitable, a magnet may be used to check whether pots are magnetic. The quality and the structure of the pot base can alter cooking performance.
Daily Use The “Booster” button can be used to select the quick heating function. Letter “P” will appear on display. To deactivate the cooking zones: Select the “ON/OFF” button of the cooking zone desired. WARNING CONTROL PANEL LOCK To lock the settings and prevent it being switched on unintentionally, press and hold the “Key Lock” button for 3 seconds. A beep and a warning light above the symbol indicate that this function has been activated.
ASSISTED BOIL POTS/PANS FOR THE ASSISTED COOKING FUNCTION The ideal function to manage the heating of water 6-20 cups (1.5 L - 5 L) to a boiling temperature. At the end of the heating stage, the cooktop will make a sound to alert you that it is time to move to the next cooking stage. Press the “OK” button to confirm that the food is going to be placed in the pot and the cooktop will move to the next stage.
Assisted Cooking Table TYPE OF COOKING DESCRIPTION Boiling Ideal for boiling pasta, rice, vegetables, meats and fish. Frying Ideal for stir frying vegetables, meat/steaks, fish, or to pan fry with oil (e.g. French fries). Ceramic Glass Cleaning off the induction cooktop before and after each use will help keep it free from stains and provide the most even heating. For more information, see “General Cleaning” section. ■ ■ Avoid storing jars or cans above the cooktop.
COOKTOP CARE General Cleaning IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the cooktop is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted. Do not use a steam cleaner. CERAMIC GLASS Cleaning Method: o avoid damaging the cooktop, do not use steel wool, abrasive powder cleansers, chlorine bleach, rust remover or ammonia.
TROUBLESHOOTING Try the solutions suggested here first in order to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call.
