CONNECTIVITY
Connectivity Troubleshooting
If you experience Possible Causes Soluon
Washer/dryer is not
connected to home WiFi
router (WiFi icon is OFF)
The washer/dryer may be in
standby mode.
Touch the POWER buon on the washer and observe indicators.
All indicator lights are o when in standby mode.
The washer/dryer has never
been connected to the home
WiFi router.
See “Connecvity Guide” in this secon, pages 5-3 & 5-4.
The washer/dryer has been
connected to the home WiFi
router, but washer/dryer WiFi
is OFF.
Press CONNECT. The WiFi icon should blink while connecng
(this may take up to 2 minutes).
Lost connecon to home WiFi
router.
Check whether the router is on and working with other
computers or devices in the home (able to access the Internet).
Weak signal strength or signal
interference between the
washer/dryer and router.
Try to place the wireless router closer to the washer/dryer.
It may be necessary to install a WiFi range extender.
WiFi icon does not light
at all aer pressing the
Connect buon
Something may be wrong with
the washer/dryer.
Unplug or disconnect washer/dryer power for 30 seconds.
Return power. Repeat WiFi connect process.
Verify that the washer/dryer operates correctly except for not
being able to connect.
Washer/dryer is connected
to home WiFi router, but
Whirlpool™ app or Smart
Grid funcons do not work
Smart Grid features on the
washer/ dryer may be OFF.
Check whether either Smart Grid indicator is on connuously.
Touch CONNECT to turn Smart Grid feature on.
Connecon to the Whirlpool™
app and Smart Grid service
may be unavailable.
Check if the blue Smart Grid indicator is blinking.
User account has not been
properly set up, or the
washer/dryer has not been
registered in an account.
See “Connecvity Guide” in this secon or the Whirlpool™
app directly for account setup and washer/dryer registraon
instrucons.
Verify that the washer/dryer is paired with the customer
account in the app.
Verify correct e-mail address, mobile number, and nocaon
preferences.
