DIAGNOSTICS & TROUBLESHOOTING
For Service Technician Use Only
No water supplied to washer or low
water pressure.
1. Check water connecons to washer.
2. Verify that water supply is turned on.
Plugged lter/screen. Check for plugged lter or screen in the inlet valve or hose.
Drain hose installaon. Check for proper drain hose installaon. Is water siphoning out
of the drain hose?
Inlet valve problem. See TEST #5: Inlet Valve, page 3-9.
Pressure switch problem. See TEST #6: Pressure Switch, page 3-10.
Drain hose/lter or air trap is
plugged.
Check for hose, drain lter, and air trap obstrucons.
Inlet valve not shung o. See TEST #5: Inlet Valve, page 3-9.
Pressure switch problem. See TEST #6: Pressusre Switch, page 3-10.
Drain pump problem.
See TEST #7: Drain/Recirculaon Pump, page 3-11.
Door is not locked. Is door locking
aer starng a cycle?
Verify harness connecons and see TEST #4: Door Lock System,
page 3-8.
Garment or mechanical obstrucon
between drum and tub.
Try to move the drum while the washer is unpowered to see if
it can move freely. If not, check for a garment or other object
obstrucng movement.
Harness connecons.
Check harness connuity and connecons between ACU and
motor.
Motor problem.
See TEST #3: Motor Circuit, page 3-7.
Mechanical fricon.
Check for obstrucon between spin basket and outer tub.
Harness connecons.
Check harness connuity and connecons between ACU and
motor.
Motor problem.
See TEST #3: Motor Circuit, page 3-7.
Drain hose installaon. Reduce drain height if it is >49”. Make sure drain hose is not
inserted more than 4.5” (114 mm). Make sure drain hose is not
sealed into drain pipe, and that there is an air gap for venlaon.
Plugged drain hose or air trap. Check drain hose and air trap for obstrucons.
Obstrucons to drain pump. Check and clean drain lter of obstrucons.
Harness connecons. Check harness connuity and connecons between ACU and drain
pump.
Drain pump problem. See TEST #7: Drain/Recirculaon Pump, page 3-11.
Heang element problem. See TEST #8: Wash Heang Element, page 3-12.
Temperature sensor problem. See TEST #9: Wash Temperature Sensor, page 3-13.
Supply hose connecon. Check hose connecon and for damage to rubber gasket due
to over-ghtening.
Drain hose installaon. Check for proper drain hose installaon.
Plugged drain hose or house drain
pipe.
Check drain hose for obstrucons and make sure house drain pipe
is not blocked.
Overloading the washer/dryer Overloading can parally push the door open.
Internal hose connecons. Check internal hose connecons for leakage.
Check bellow. Check for holes in the bellow. If there are none, remove, reposion,
and reinstall the bellow. Make sure the bellow is not wrinkled.
