INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS Electrical Requirements—All Models Recommended Grounding Method This evaporative air cooler must be grounded. This Evaporative air cooler is equipped with a power supply cord having a grounded 3-prong plug. To minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, grounded 3-prong outlet, grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

Placement Electrical Connection This evaporative air cooler may be placed on a stable, level, and solid floor that will support its weight with a full bucket of water. Allow at least 12-18" (30-45 cm) of clearance from walls and furniture. Do not allow the air inlet or outlet to be covered by drapes or curtains, as it will reduce performance. NOTE: The cool mode of the evaporative air cooler is most effective when the ambient relative humidity level is below 75%.

PARTS AND FEATURES Your evaporative air cooler can be used in fan-mode only, or can be used for additonal cooling by filling the water tank and using the Cool mode.

S SWING UP DOWN SPEED COOL USING YOUR EVAPORATIVE AIR COOLER ON/OFF COOL COOL FAN SPEED SWING UP/ DOWN FILTER SWING LEFT RIGHT SPEED COOL Remote Control (on some models) SWING LEFT RIGHT SWING UP DOWN Auto Shut-Off When the evaporative air cooler is plugged in, it will beep once, the display will light, and the cooler will enter standby mode. If no button is pressed, the display will dim and the air cooler will go into standby mode after a few seconds.

Filling the Water Tank Additional Functions Turn signal sounds off: 1 2 4 8 Press and hold the SWING LEFT/RIGHT ON/OFF and UP/DOWN buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to turn the signal sounds off. To turn themCOOL back on,SPEED press and TIMER hold the SWING LEFT/RIGHT and UP/DOWN buttons again for 3 seconds. SWING UP DOWN SWING LEFT RIGHT FILTER For effective cooling, the water tank must be filled before using Cool mode.

CARE AND CLEANING Cleaning the Evaporative Media Cartridge Your new evaporative air cooler is designed to give you many years of dependable service. This section tells you how to clean and care for your Evaporative air cooler properly. Cleaning the Air Filter The air filter is removable for easy cleaning. A clean air filter helps remove dust, lint, and other particles from the air and is important for the best operating efficiency. Check the air filter every two weeks to see whether it needs cleaning.

TROUBLESHOOTING Before calling for service, try the suggestions below to see whether you can solve your problem without outside help. Make sure the power supply cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet. See the “Electrical Requirements” section. The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped.

XLS PRODUCTS WARRANTY FOR WHIRLPOOL® EVAPORATIVE AIR COOLERS ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY For one year from the date of purchase, when this product is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, XLS Products will pay for replacement parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship or replace the product at our discretion. Service must be provided by a XLS Products designated service company. This warranty does not cover the air filter.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Hay agua en el piso Salpicaduras del tanque de agua. Para evitar derrames y salpicaduras, asegúrese de llenar el tanque de agua únicamente hasta el nivel Max (Máximo) y no mueva el enfriador de aire por evaporación cuando el tanque está lleno.
