Configuring the Internet IP Settings

Setting the Default Gateway IP Address
You need to define the IP address of the system gateway. This address designates the main
entry point into your network.
To set the default gateway IP address
1. From the Main System menu, select
Network Configuration
.
The Network Configuration window appears:
2. Select
Default Gateway IP Address
.
An arrow appears to the left of the entry field.
3. Press the
Enter
key.
The entry field changes to edit mode.
4. Type the default gateway IP address for the unit.
5. Press the
Enter
key.
The default gateway IP address is applied.
Setting the SNMP NMS Trap IP Address
The SNMP NMS Trap IP address identifies the IP address of the network manager. This
address basically communicates all alarms or events to the network manager. The network
manager can define the types of traps, or alarms, that will be forwarded to the IP address.
To set the SNMP NMS Trap IP address
1. From the Main System menu, select
Network Configuration
.
The Network Configuration window appears:

SNMP NMS Trap IP Address
.
An arrow appears to the left of the entry field.
