Monitoring your Internet connection
Click the Monitor Internet connection link to launch the Speed Meter. The Speed Meter measures the
actual rate at which data is coming into (Incoming Kbps) and going out of (Outgoing Kbps) your system. It
measures real-time data throughput in Kilobits per second and displays in one-second intervals. This data
rate can differ from the reported speed of your broadband connection due to many factors, including traffic
to the Web site or the speed of the Web servers at the site you are visiting.
Note: The Speed Meter requires that your browser support Java 2.
