Un-crating & Installing the LS3/4
Your new Wisdom Audio Wisdom Series LS3 or LS4 in-wall speaker is a sub-
stantial piece of equipment. Please exercise caution when unpacking your LS4
to ensure that you do not strain yourself from its (perhaps unexpected) weight.
Caution! Do not attempt to uncrate your Wisdom Series speakers by yourself.
Unpacking these speakers is a job for multiple, trained installers. It is
unwise for a single person even to attempt doing so.
Do not attempt to lift your speakers while bending or twisting from
the waist. Use your legs for lifting, not your back.
Always stand as straight as possible and keep the LS4 close to your
body to reduce strain on your back. Let the oor take most of the
weight of the speaker.
The loudspeaker is shipped in a specially-designed wooden crate that both
protects it during shipment and facilitates its installation on the wall. When you
remove the top of the crate, the rear of the speaker will be exposed.
There are three major pieces involved in a single Wisdom Series loudspeaker:
the on-wall mounting bracket
the removable foot assembly
the speaker itself
These parts are packed in a wood crate that is designed both to protect your
Wisdom Series loudspeaker, and to make un-crating it as safe and simple as
possible. The following illustration is placed in a plastic sleeve on the outside of
each crate, explaining how to properly unpack the speaker:
The wall bracket is attached to to the inside of the hinged lid. Remove it and the
oor stand/accessory box, and close up the crate until you are ready to hang the
speaker on the wall bracket.
