To ensure that all the different stages of the download procedure can be achieved with efficiency; many
acknowledgements are sent from the
BCM2035 to the host. The host uses these returned characters as
indications to transition from one stage to the next. Figure 20 illustrates the downloading protocol between the
host and the BT device for ASCII Intel hex formats.
