8.ClicktheMonitor-2icon(fortheexternalmonitor).
9.Selectthescreenresolutionandcolorqualityofthesecondarydisplay.
10.Settherelativepositionoftheeachmonitorbydraggingitsicon.Youcansetthemonitorsinany
relativeposition,buttheiconsmusttoucheachother.
11.ClickOKtoapplythechanges.
•Problem:Displayswitchingdoesnotwork.
Solution:IfyouusetheExtenddesktopfunction,disableit,andchangethedisplayoutputlocation.If
aDVDmovieoravideoclipisplaying,stoptheplayback,closetheapplication,andthenchangethe
displayoutputlocation.
•Problem:IfyouusetheExtenddesktopfunction,youcannotsetahigherresolutionorhigherrefresh
rateonthesecondarydisplay.
Solution:Changetheresolutionandthecolordepthtolowersettingsfortheprimarydisplaybydoing
thefollowing:
ForWindows7:Changetheresolutiondepthtolowersettingsfortheprimarydisplay.Refertothe
“Solution”for“TheExtenddesktopfunctiondoesnotwork”above.
