Installingdevicedrivers
Thedevicedriversareavailableathttp://www.lenovo.com/ThinkPadDrivers.Clickyourcomputerproduct
nametoviewallthedevicedriversforyourcomputer.
Attention:Alwaysgotohttp://www.lenovo.com/ThinkPadDriversforthelatestdevicedrivers.Donot
downloadthemfromtheWindowsUpdateWebsite.
ThinkPadSetup
YourcomputercomeswiththeThinkPadSetupprogramtoenableyoutoselectvarioussetupparameters.
TostartThinkPadSetup,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonthecomputer.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,pressthepowerbuttontogetherwiththe
volumeupbuttonatthesametime.TheThinkPadSetupprogrammainmenuopens.
Note:Ifyouhavesetasupervisorpassword,theThinkPadSetupprogrammainmenuwillbedisplayed
afteryouenterthepassword.YoucanstartThinkPadSetupbytappingEnterinsteadofenteringthe
supervisorpasswordontheonscreenkeyboard.However,youcannotchangetheparametersthatare
protectedbythesupervisorpassword.
2.Taptheitemyouwanttochange.Whentheitemishighlighted,taptheitem.Asubmenuisdisplayed.
3.TapEsctoexitfromthesubmenu.
4.Ifyouareonanestedsubmenu,tapEscrepeatedlyuntilyoureachtheThinkPadSetupprogram
mainmenu.
Note:Ifyouneedtorestorethesettingstotheiroriginalstateasofthetimeofpurchase,tapDefault
toloadthedefaultsettings.YoualsocantapanoptionontheRestartsubmenutoloadthedefault
settingsordiscardthechanges.
5.TapRestart.Taptheoptionyouwantforrestartingyourcomputer,thentapEnter.Yourcomputer
restarts.
