UsingtheThinkPadpointingdevice
ThekeyboarddockcomeswiththeThinkPadpointingdevice.TheThinkPadpointingdeviceconsistsof
theTrackPointpointingstick1andthetouchpad2,eachofwhichisitselfapointingdevicewithboth
basicandextendedfunctions.
Tomovethepointer3onthescreen,doeitherofthefollowing:
•Applypressuretothenonslipcaponthepointingstick1inanydirectionparalleltothekeyboard;the
pointingstickitselfdoesnotmove.Thespeedatwhichthepointermovesdependsonthepressure
youapplytothepointingstick.
•Slideyourngertipoverthetouchpad
2inthedirectioninwhichyouwantthepointertomove.
Usingthemulti-touchtouchpad
Thetouchpadofthekeyboarddocksupportsmulti-touchwithwhichyoucanzoomin,zoomout,orscroll
onthetouchpadwhilebrowsingtheInternetorreadingoreditingadocument.
Customizingthetouchpad
Tocustomizethetouchpad,dothefollowing:
1.Fromthedesktop,swipeinfromtherightedgeofthescreentodisplaythecharms.
2.TapSettings➙ControlPanel➙HardwareandSound➙Mouse.
3.IntheMousePropertieswindows,taptheThinkPadtab.
4.Followtheonscreeninstructionstocustomizethetouchpad.
Powermanagement
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtochargethebattery,howtoextendthebatterylifebetween
charges,andhowtocheckthebatterystatus.
Chargingthebattery
Thetabletisshippedwithanacpoweradaptertochargethetabletfromanystandardacpoweroutlet.
Note:Thebatteryisnotfullychargedwhenshipped.
