•Problem:MyscreenkeepsblankingwhenIdonotwantitto.
Solution:Youcandisableanysystemtimers,suchastheLCDturn-offtimerortheblanktimerby
doingthefollowing:
1.StartPowerManager.
2.TapthePowerplantab,andthenselectMaximumPerformancefromthepredenedpowerplans.
•Problem:WhenIturnonthetablet,nothingisdisplayedonthescreenandthetabletdoesnotbeep
whilestartingup.
Note:Ifyouarenotsurewhetheryouheardanybeeps,turnoffthetabletbypressingandholdingthe
powerbuttonforfoursecondsormore.Turnitonandlistenagain.
Solution:Ensurethat:
–Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothetabletandthepowercordispluggedintoaworking
electricaloutlet.
–Thetabletisturnedon.(Turnthepowerbuttononagainforconrmation.)
Ifapower-onpasswordisset:
–Pressanykeytodisplaythepromptforthepower-onpassword.Ifthebrightnesslevelofthescreen
islow,increaseitbypressingHome.
–TypethecorrectpasswordandpressEnter.
Iftheseitemsarecorrectlyset,andthescreenremainsblank,havethetabletserviced.
•Problem:WhenIturnonthetablet,onlyawhitecursorisdisplayedonablankscreen.
Solution:Ifyouhavemodiedapartitiononyoursolid-statedrivebyusingpartitionsoftware,information
aboutthatpartition,orthemasterbootrecordmighthavebeendestroyed.
1.Turnoffthetablet,andthenturnitonagain.
2.Ifyoustillseeonlythecursoronthescreen,dothefollowing:
–Ifyouhaveusedthepartitionsoftware,examinethepartitiononthesolid-statedrivebyusingthe
software,andrecoverthepartitionifrequired.
–Usetherecoverydiscstorestorethesystemtothefactorystate.
Iftheproblempersists,havethetabletserviced.
•Problem:Myscreengoesblankwhilethetabletison.
Solution:Yourscreensaverorpowermanagementmighthavebeenenabled.Doeitherofthefollowing:
–Tapthetabletscreentoexitthescreensaver.
–Pressthepowerbuttontoresumefromsleeporhibernationmode.
