Minimum Requirements Internet Access A personal home Wi-Fi router connected to the Internet is required to set up your Withings Home. Your Wi-Fi router must be 802.11. b/g/n/ on a 2.4 GHz frequency. 5 GHz networks are not supported. For more details about Wi-Fi router compatibility, refer to “Specifications” on page 52. For a wired connection to your home network, you need a free LAN port on the router and a Cat-5 Ethernet cable.
Withings Home Description Overview Your Withings Home and the Withings Home app work together to provide you with the benefits of an extended home monitoring system. The main function of the Withings Home is to monitor what’s happening in the room it’s located in and record it in an interactive Journal. You can then access these events easily from your Journal. Depending on your settings, you can receive notifications every time a notable event is recorded.

Setting Up Your Withings Home Installing the Withings Home App If the Withings Home app is not already installed on your device, perform the following steps: 1. Type getapp.withings.com in your device’s web browser. 2. Tap Download on the App Store. 3. Tap GET. The installation process starts. When a new app version is available, you will be prompted to update it. Plugging In Your Withings Home The Withings Home is designed to be easily integrated into your home or office environment.
8. Connect the power supply cable to your Withings Home’s micro USB port. 9. Plug the power supply cable to an outlet. Your Withings Home displays a solid orange light for a few seconds and then switches to a blinking blue light. It is now ready to be set up. Note that there’s a plastic film on the lens of your Withings Home. Make sure you remove it before you start using it or it will impact the quality of the video.
3. Enter your email address and password, and then confirm your password. 4. Tap Next. You can now start the installation process. If you already have a Withings ™ account, log in to the Withings Home app and proceed with the installation process. Installing Your Withings Home in Wi-Fi Once you are logged in to the Withings Home app, you can start installing your Withings Home. To install it using a Wi-Fi network, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app. 2. Tap Settings. 3.

7. If you want to use the Wi-Fi network configured on your device, perform the following steps: a. Tap Quick setup. b. Tap Allow. The Withings Home app starts upgrading your Withings Home’s firmware. It can take a few minutes. If your mobile device is using a 5 GHz network, you have to setup another network to install your Withings Home, as 5 GHz networks are not supported. Withings Home v2.
8. If you want to use another Wi-Fi network, perform the following steps: a. Tap Setup another network. b. Tap the network you want to use. If it’s not available, swipe the top of the screen down to refresh the list of networks. In the case of hidden SSID, tap Manual configuration. c. Enter the password and tap OK. The Withings Home app starts upgrading your Withings Home’s firmware. It can take a few minutes. You can install up to 20 Withings Homes on your account.
Once you are logged in to the Withings Home app, you can start installing your Withings Home. To install it using an Ethernet network, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app. 2. Tap Settings. 3. Tap New camera. 4. Tap Next. Withings Home v2.

8. Plug the Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port of your Withings Home. The Withings Home app starts upgrading your Withings Home’s firmware. It can take up to a few minutes. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are automatically disabled as soon as the Ethernet installation is complete. You can install up to 20 Withings Homes on your account. Modifying Your Settings Adjusting the alert levels of your Withings Home To adjust the alert levels of your Withings Home, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app.
3. Tap your Withings Home. 4. Select the alerts you want to receive and/or deselect the alerts you don’t want to receive. 5. Tap Sensitivity to adjust the level of each alert type. 6. Use the slider to set the amount of alerts you want to receive. 7. Tap the back button. Withings Home v2.
8. Tap Done. If you want to disable all alerts, you can also change the mode of your Withings Home to Do Not Disturb. Refer to “Using the Control Center” on page 34 for more information. Note that there is a five-minute window between alerts, which means that once you get an alert, you’ll have to wait five minutes to get another one, even if events are detected. This prevents you from being spammed with alerts when longer events take place.

Changing the night vision settings of your Withings Home By default, the night vision settings of your Withings Home are set to automatic, meaning that your Withings Home automatically adjusts when there is light or not. To change this default behavior, perform the following steps: 1.

Using Your Withings Home Checking the Live Stream Viewing the live stream of your Withings Home on your device You can view the live stream of your Withings Home whenever you want by opening the Withings Home app, provided your Withings Home can access the Internet and your network doesn’t block connections to your Withings Home. Note that once your Withings Home is set up on your account, you can view the stream on any device without having to re-install it for each device.
If you have several Withings Home installed on your account, tap the live stream of the one you’re interested in to see more details. Viewing the live stream of your Withings Home from your computer At the moment, it is not possible to view the live stream of your Withings Home from a computer. Using the Journal Viewing events Whenever your Withings Home detects sound or motion, or when the VOC (volatile organic compounds) levels get too high, events are added to your Journal.
Different actions are possible for the events in your Journal: • • Tap an event to view it. Tap and slide an event to the left to share or delete it To view events of previous days, scroll down in your Journal. Note that you’re more or less limited in how far back you can go depending on whether you’ve subscribed a Cloud Video Recording plan or not. Refer to “Using the Cloud Video Recording Feature” on page 45 for more information.
To view the Timelapse of the previous day, simply tap Replay the last 24h in your Journal. To view the Timelapse of previous days, scroll down in your Journal until you find a Timelapse event. Note that you’re more or less limited in how far back you can go depending on whether you’ve subscribed to a Cloud Video Recording plan or not. Refer to “Using the Cloud Video Recording Feature” on page 45 for more information.
You can access the Control Center by tapping the icon at the top-right corner of the main screen. You can then tap the mode you wish to use. Active Monitoring The Active Monitoring mode allows you to record all events (noise, motion and air quality alerts) and to receive notifications for all alerts, based on the alert sensitivity you’ve set up. You can still de-activate some of the alerts as long as you keep at least one type of alert active.
Playing a Lullaby Overview You can remotely play a lullaby on your Withings Home whenever you want to help your baby fall asleep. Along with the lullaby, you can display a rainbow animation or simply choose a solid color that will be displayed on your Withings Home. Setting the duration of the lullaby To set the duration of the lullaby, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app. 2. Double-tap the live stream to display it in full-screen mode. 3. Tap the lullaby icon. 4.
Setting the volume of the lullaby To set the volume of the lullaby, perform the following steps: 1. Tap the ... icon. 2. Adjust the volume slider to set the volume of the lullaby. 3. Tap X to exit the lullaby settings screen. Withings Home v2.
Setting the night light To set the night light, perform the following steps: 1. Tap the ... icon. 2. Select the night light you want: a. If you want a solid color night light: -- Make sure Rainbow animation is de-activated. -- Select the color you want in Color selection. -- Adjust the brightness slider. Withings Home v2.
b. If you want the rainbow night light, tap Rainbow animation to activate it. c. If you don’t want any night light: -- Make sure Rainbow animation is de-activated. -- Set the brightness slider to the minimum brightness. 3. Tap X to exit the lullaby settings screen. Withings Home v2.
Running the lullaby Once you have set the duration and volume of the lullaby, as well as the animation, you can start running the lullaby by tapping the center of the circle. Stopping the lullaby You can stop the lullaby anytime you want. To do so, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app. 2. Double-tap the live stream to display it in full-screen mode. 3. Tap the lullaby icon. Withings Home v2.
4. Slide your finger counterclockwise on the wheel to set the duration of the lullaby to zero. 5. Tap the center of the circle. Using the Push-To-Talk Feature Not only can you hear everything that’s happening around your Withings Home when you’re viewing the live stream, you also have the option of making yourself heard thanks to the Push-To-Talk feature. This allows you to interact remotely with people near your Withings Home. To use the Push-To-Talk feature, perform the following steps: 1.
3. Tap and hold the Push-To-Talk icon while you’re talking. 4. Release when you’re done talking. The icon turns red if you don’t hold long enough while talking. Make sure that you’ve authorized the Withings Home app to access the microphone. If not, the Push-To-Talk feature won’t work. Refer to “Changing the system authorizations” on page 28 for more information. Taking a Snapshot The Withings Home app allows you to take snapshots of the live stream. These photos are then saved to your phone.
Make sure that you’ve authorized the Withings Home app to access your photos. If not, your snapshots won’t be saved. Refer to “Changing the system authorizations” on page 28 for more information. Checking the Air Quality of the Room Overview Your Withings Home allows you to check the air quality of the room by indicating the level of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). VOCs are a large group of carbon-based chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperature.

Using the Cloud Video Recording Feature Overview Cloud Video Recording is an optional feature that allows you to record everything that is captured by your Withings Home for up to 7 to 30 days, depending on which plan you’ve subscribed to. It also allows you to keep the events of your Journal for 7 or 30 days, instead of the default two days.

If necessary, you can unsubscribe anytime you want either from the Cloud video recording menu or from the confirmation email you received after subscribing to the plan. Watching the continuous video feed If you have subscribed to a Cloud Video Recording plan, you can access the continuous video feed whenever you want. Dissociating Your Withings Home Dissociating your Withings Home allows you to remove it from your account. Once it is no longer linked to your account, it can be installed on another account. Dissociating your Withings Home will remove all of your data, including Cloud Video Recording data, from the Withings Home app. To dissociate your Withings Home, perform the following steps: 1. Open the Withings Home app. 2. Tap Settings. 3. Tap your Withings Home. Withings Home v2.
4. Tap Remove from my account. 5. Tap Reset. 6. Perform a factory reset of your Withings Home. Refer to “Performing a Factory Reset of Your” on page 60 for more information. Your Withings Home is now ready to be reconfigured. Withings Home v2.
Performing a Factory Reset of Your Withings Home Factory resetting your Withings Home allows you to delete all of the data stored on it. Factory resetting completes the dissociation process. 1. Unplug and plug the power supply of your Withings Home back in five times: a. Unplug it from the wall socket. b. Plug it back in. c. Repeat as soon as your Withings Home displays an orange light. 2. Go to the Bluetooth settings of your device. 3.
Cleaning and Maintenance Cleaning Your Withings Home To clean your Withings Home, wipe the surface of the cover with a slightly dampened cloth. The cover that comes with your Withings Home is made of genuine European White Oak. Do not use any solvent to clean it. Updating the Firmware We regularly offer new firmware so that you can benefit from the latest features we add to our products. When new firmware is available, it is automatically installed without any prompt from the Withings Home app.
