3G SDI I/O Configurati on Menu
Figure 5–3 3G SDI I/O Configuration Menu -
Re-Embed: Pass Thru
When one or more 3G SDI I/O cards are installed, this menu is
accessible. This menu allows the customer to select the
SDI Audio
Delay
.
The
SDI Audio Delay
will be applied to all 16 de-embedded
channels of the 3G/HD/SD-SDI input and therefore will
affect all outputs of these de-embedded audio signals,
including the output to a surround sound system.
The AES de-embedded outputs are delayed by the SDI audio
delay. When
Re-Embed: Pass Thru
is selected, the
reclocked outputs are not delayed by the SDI audio delay.
The SDI audio delay may be set to either
OFF
or from 3ms to
160 ms in 1 ms increments.
The actual audio delay changes will occur dynamically as the
knob is turned so that the audio delay may be audibly and
visually matched to the video monitor, without actually
knowing beforehand what the exact delay must be.
The audio delay will be saved in the presets, allowing
different presets to exhibit different SDI audio delays as
necessary. This can allow one touch control from the
Main
Screen
.
Additional 3G/HD/SD-SDI cards added to the AMP2-16V
will have their own separately adjustable delay.
The adjustable delay for the internal monitor speakers, as set
in the Monitor Mixer Configuration Menu, if used, will be in
addition to the
SDI Audio Delay
.
