Ad ding a Redunda nt P owe r Supply
5. Attach the power cords to the power supply connectors and plug
them into outlets protected by different breakers.
Adding the DC Power Module
The DC power supply can be used with a redundant AC or DC power
supply.
To install the DC power supply, follow the instructions below.
1. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw on the right
side of the rear of the monitor as shown in Figure 6–8 below.

2. Remove the screws on the blank cover plate and remove the cover
plate.
Im por ta nt :
It is crucial that the secondary power supply be plugged into an outlet
on a different circuit breaker than the original power supply to ensure
system redundancy.
Note:
It may prove helpful to place the monitor with the rear panel
facing you for this procedure.

Keep the blank cover plate for future use. We recommend taping it to
the side of the monitor; but do not cover the air vent.
