Rock Faces (LK951)
In this kit is enough Lightweight Hydrocal* to make four to five rocks. Do not mix contents all at once. If desired, mix a
smaller amount of Lightweight Hydrocal and fill only a few selected cavities to make a larger number of smaller rocks.
Instructions
1. Spray or brush inside of mold with “wet water” (one or two drops of liquid soap in 6 oz. of water). This will help
disperse air bubbles.
2. Shake bag of Hydrocal to mix contents.
3. For each rock, slowly mix 1 cup Hydrocal with 1/3 cup water.
5.
Wait 30-40 minutes and remove. Rock should sit overnight before coloring.
6. To apply rock to layout, determine placement and cut Plaster Cloth into 1x4-inch strips. Hold bumpy side up and
dip each strip into a pan of water. Place strips, one at a time, around the edge of the rock to fill in the gaps. Rub with
fingertips to smooth Plaster Cloth and blend rock onto layout.
7. In separate containers mix supplied pigments
with water in the following ratios. Use remainder
for touch up work.
