MAIN ROOM TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SYMPTOM CAUSE SOLUTION
Unit does not function when Main
Power switch is pushed
No AC Power Make certain that the AC power
cord is plugged into a live outlet
Check to see whether the outlet is
switch-controlled
Display lights, but no sound or picture
Intermittent input
connections
Mute is ON
Volume control is
down
Make certain that all input and
speaker connections are secure
Press Mute Button
Turn up the volume control
Unit turns on, but front panel display
does not light up
Display brightness is
turned off
Follow the instructions in the
section Main Room Operation/Front
Panel Brightness so that the display
is set to FULL
No sound from any speaker; LED in
power switch is red
Amplifier is in
protection mode due
to a possible short
Amplifier is in
protection mode due
to internal problems
Check speaker wire connections for
shorts at receiver and speaker ends

Intermittent buzzing in Tuner
Local interference Move the unit or antenna away
from computers, fluorescent lights,
motors or other electrical

Channel Indicator display flash at the
same time as the audio stops
