Selecting the Active Transceiver
To make FM1 or FM2 the “active transceiver” means that the keypad/rotary knobs will perform operations on that
transceiver. The active transceiver is always highlighted in a bright blue color. As shown in the picture below, FM1
is the active transceiver.
To make FM1 the active transceiver, push the FM #1 SELECT BUTTON as shown above. Pushing the FM #2
select button will make FM2 the active transceiver and the blue highlight will be moved to the FM2 area of the
display as shown below.
When the P-2000 is operating in SINGLE MIC MODE (only one headset shared between two transceivers), the
active transceiver is the one that will be used for transmitting. In Single Mic Mode, the transceivers (FM1 and FM2)
will have their receive audio summed together and sent to Headset #1. The operator must choose which transceiver
will be used when they want to transmit.
