Relay/Simulcast Mode
Relay-Simulcast mode combines the functions of Relay Mode and Simulcast Mode. It allows you to establish an
automatic radio link with two other locations that have radios tuned to different frequencies in different frequency
bands, and allows you to transmit to those same locations simultaneously. You can establish relay/simulcast
operation as follows.
From the HOME page select the desired channel for radio 1 and establish communications on that channel.
From the HOME page select the desired channel for radio 2 and establish communication on the channel.
Press the MODE button until the following display page appears.
Select the RELAY/SIMULCAST MODE by high-lighting the option and pressing the ENTER button. The unit
will now enter the RELAY/SIMULCAST mode and the display will look like the one below:
Now the unit will RELAY between FM1/FM2 and it will also SIMULCAST on both transceivers when the
operator chooses either FM1 or FM2 audio panel positions.
To exit the RELAY/SIMULCAST MODE, simply press the HOME button.
