- There are (2) versions of CPS that may apply to the RT-5000 depending upon P/N as follows:
- 9. Conventional - All the aspects of any given channel are assigned to a personality numbered 1 through 255. These menus allow the user to modify the settings for the Conventional Personalities.

Soft ID – This menu allows you to modify the Soft ID feature used whenever the PTT
button is pressed.
Soft ID Feature: ENABLED
(2) ASTRO System – These menus allow the user to modify the settings for ASTRO Digital
operations. All of the settings should remain as depicted EXCEPT the Individual ID. This is
the ASTRO ID assigned to the radio by serial number when it is first brought on line in the
radio network. It must be unique to the radio.
(a) General - This menu allows you to modify the General settings of the ASTRO System.
(b) Emergency – This menu allows you to modify the Emergency settings of the ASTRO
System.
Emergency: DISABLED
Emergency Type: Alarm Only
Acknowledge Alert Tone: Enabled

(c) Emergency Options – This menu allows you to modify the Emergency Options for the
