- There are (2) versions of CPS that may apply to the RT-5000 depending upon P/N as follows:

Muting Inactive Receivers
The C-5000 can be configured such that the DIM key invokes the MUTE function rather than the DIM
function. When MUTE is active, the audio from all non-active transceivers will be muted. Muted
transceivers are indicated by an ‘M’ character in their status fields. See depiction below.

You can configure the DIM key for the MUTE function using either the Cobham Remote Programmer
software or from the C-5000’s front panel. To set the option using the Remote Programmer software,
simply select DIM or MUTE from the DIM Key Mode combo box, located on the Hardware Configuration
screen. To set the option from the C-5000’s front panel, simply select DIM or MUTE from the option list
on the DIM KEY MODE configuration page. This page, depicted below, is located under the SETUP
MISC. sub-menu of the CFG SYSTEM menu.
