Appendix D – Equivalent Part Numbers
Because RT-5000’s and C-5000’s are maintained as separate products, there can be circumstances
when a new flavor (part number) of RT-5000 is released, but the C-5000 is not yet aware of its existence.
This problem manifests itself as rejected part numbers in the C-5000 configuration pages for RT-5000
radios. Should this occur, the work around is to enter an RT-5000 part number that will make the C-5000
function properly for the intended radio. As far as the C-5000 is concerned, only the module and
encryption types are significant.
Should your RT-5000 part number be rejected by the C-5000, find an RT-5000 part number (last 4 digits)
in the table that has the equivalent part number to the RT-5000 you are trying to configure. Enter the
equivalent part number into the C-5000 configuration pages, and your RT-5000 should function properly.
