Labeling requirements for packaging are provided below.
The following placard must be placed visibly in proportion to crate
size but must be no less than 120mm x 110mm.
When a battery is shipped individually, the package box must be
applied with the following information.
a. "Lithium-ion batteries: UN 3480”
b. United Nations Packaging Symbol: “ ”
c. "The UN code adjacent UN mark:
"4G/Y35/S/xx/US/yyyyyy" (or equiv. where "xx"
= 2-digit year of mfg; “y…” = Mfg certifying
pkg)
d. "For PERS Emergency Response Service:
Call 1-800- 633-8253 (USA/Canada),
1-801-629-0667 (International) –
Reference Account Number: 12202"
