that in this case the total of the consumers doesn’t exceed the
maximum power of the converter.
3. If the input and output are properly connected, the converter can
be activated by means of the on/off switch. The green LED ‘power
on’ will light when the converter is ready for use.
Important
- The converter will not work (correctly) if the input voltage is
too low.
- If the converter isn’t used for a longer period of time, we
advise you to disconnect the converter from the battery.
On/off remote
All SP and SB models have the possibility to be switched on/off
remotely, for example by means of the D+ connection of the
dynamo, the ignition key or an external n/o switch.
A 6,3 mm faston terminal is located
on the output side.
Use an wire of 0,5mmq. The offered
Voltage should be between 9-30Vdc.
The converter will start operating
when the voltage is present on this wire.
If you want to use this option instead of the on/off switch, the
on/off switch should be set to the “off” position.
USB output
On the USB terminal a 5Vdc consumer can be connected. The
maximum load is 100mA.
Connecting a battery on output
A battery may be connected on the output of all the models.
However, we advise you to order the charge converter version of
the concerning converter (add LOV to the article number). This
way the converter is adapted for charging a battery.
