Furthermore an important feature of these converters is that they
are galvanically isolated. This means that you can connect any
loading without worrying about the interruption from input to the
output, they aren’t directly connected. Parallel operation of the
same types gives great flexibility to expand the power whenever
is needed.
INSTRUCTIONS
Mounting
The converter has to be mounted in a space that complies with
the following:
- Leave enough space on all sides of the converter (min. 5 cm.)
for air circulation. In addition, make sure that there are
ventilation vents.
- The optimum ambient temperature is between 15ºC and
25 ºC.
- Mount the converter in a dry place where there is no chance of it
being affected by moisture or dirt.
- Keep the converter out of the reach of children.
- A working converter produces a dangerous voltage.
- Do not use the converter in places where gases are released or
flammable materials are stored.
- It is normal that the converter case is warm when there is a load.
- The converter is not suitable for outdoor use.
Cable size
All models from the SP and SB series have screw terminals as
connection with battery (DC input) and consumers (DC output).
The required cable size is determined by the current that flows
through it. The cable sizes for input and output will therefore
almost always differ from each other. For example, with the SP
1210AU and SP 1220AU the total Ampère on the input is doubled
(input voltage is halved, so input current is doubled). With the SP
2120AU, SP 2130AU and the SP 2140AU the current on the input
