side will be the half of the output side ( input voltage doubles so
input current halves). With the SB 1120AU and SB 2210AU the
input and output currents remains almost the same.
Formula for the calculation of the optimum cable size:
Current (Amp.) x distance in meters x 0,2 = cable size in mmq
Example calculation output: de distance from a SP 1220AU to
consumers is 1,5 meters. The maximum output current that flows
through the cable is 20Amp. The formula:
20 x 1,5 x 0,2 = 6 mmq
Example calculation input: the distance from battery to a SP
1220AU is 0,5 meters. In this case the calculation should be
based on a input current of 40Amp. The formula:
40 x 0,5 x 0,2 = 4 mmq
Connection
1. Connect a red cable on the âDC inputâ side to
the positive pole and a black cable to the
negative pole of the battery. Make sure that
the correct cable is connected to the correct
pole. The converter will become defective if
the poles are reversed. In this case the
reparation cost are not covered by the guarantee.
2. After connection to the battery the
consumers can be connected to the
âDC outputâ. All converter have two
output terminals, which are internally
connected. If more consumers should be
connected, then use a manifold. Make sure
